Intermodal Logistics Park North

(Strategic Rail Freight Interchange)

(Parkside Phase 3)

Overview

Tritax Big Box want to build a Strategic Rail Freight Interchange (SRFI) on 500+ acres of green belt opposite Kenyon Hall farm.  Confusingly, it is known by all the names above, but they are one and the same thing

It will possibly also replace the current RFI in Trafford and allow for expansion.

The first Statutory Consultation closed on 23rd December.  We note that there will be a further consultation covering noise, traffic and transport in early summer 2026 and we will all need to provide more feedback at that stage.

THIS IS NOT PARKSIDE stages 1&2 - they have already been approved and construction is pending/underway.

Now here’s the part most people don’t realise 👇

📦 The ENTIRE Parkside Phase 1 development would fit inside just ONE of the warehouses that Tritax are planning.

Let that sink in.

➡️ Tritax proposes 17 warehouses, up to 30 metres high
➡️ Each one is bigger than everything currently being built at Parkside
➡️ That means 17 x Parkside – in one single phase.

This isn’t a “small extension”.  This isn’t “more of the same”.

This is an industrial mega-development on a scale our area has never seen before.  And right now, no application has even gone to government yet.  We are still in the statutory consultation stage – this is the period of time when voices actually matter.  If you'd like to keep in touch and hear about updates when they happen, please sign up to our mailing list - we will post information here as we get it, so please return.

If you think Parkside feels big…. The Tritax SFRI (Strategic Rail Freight Interchange) would completely redefine our area.
