Our Achievements
We're proud of the progress we have made as a small residents group since we formed back in 2002. You can read below about some of our achievements.

Mount Tabor &
Village Green Status
Heathland known as ‘Mount Tabor’, off Newton Road in Lowton, has been safeguarded for future generations, thanks to Lane Head South Residents’ Group.

Weight limit camera on
Winwick Lane
Thanks to our efforts, the council has introduced a weight limit and installed a traffic camera on Winwick Lane [southbound] to reduce heavy vehicle traffic.

Litter Picking
We regularly organise litter picking group sessions to help keep our community clean & tidy.

Carols around the tree
Our annual Christmas carols around the tree on the
first Sunday in December each year, brings the community together. We also raise donations for
local charities at this event.
